The team

Who runs this team.

Melissa High School Robotics is organised like a small engineering company. Six weeks is not enough time to decide who is responsible for something while it is going wrong, so every deliverable has one name against it before Kickoff.

Leading the team

At the top of the chart.

Executive

Second in command.

The Vice President runs the day-to-day: the officers and every sub-team Director report here.

Officers

Records and money.

The Secretary keeps the team's records and minutes; the Treasurer tracks the budget, sponsorships and every receipt that ends up in the notebook.

Directors

One owner per deliverable.

Each Director owns one of the five things BEST actually scores. If it is late, incomplete, or brilliant, it is theirs.

Leads

Under the Directors.

CAD and Design report to Robot Construction. The two presentation leads report to Marketing.

The crew

And everyone building it.

Mentors

The adults in the room.

Our teacher sponsor and mentors keep the shop open and the team eligible. The engineering decisions stay with the students — that is the point of BEST.

Open roles

There is a job here for you.

Build, code, CAD, write, design a booth, or present to judges. Students join with no experience every year — the team is built to teach.
